Hi, I'm Nicola Barnett MAAT

I'm an AAT licenced Accountant, housekeeper, dog walker, Mum, wife and the founder of Accounts & Tax Made Easy.

We specialise in Construction Industry Scheme and small / medium businesses working from home, wanting to grow and build their business.

With over 20 years experience in various sectors, industry's and roles, working along side me are my team of bookkeepers with a varied skill set to enable us to help all business of industry and size.

We work hard to provide quality services, helping small businesses striving to make a success from home, with busy work lives and busier family lives, and larger businesses gain control over profit and cash flow.

Our aim is to make accounting the easy part of your business, not daunting, leaving you the time to either grow your business or find the work life balance, whatever that may be for you.

We offer simple solutions, always to make the clients life easy and processing as simple as it can be for you, by using emails and apps, we no longer need to exchange paperwork on a regular basis.

Making Tax Digital - are you ready?

Being digital we will have your business ready for HMRC Making Tax Digital.

Making Tax Digital VAT has already launched and you should be compliant by now!

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is being rolled out from April 2026, sole traders with turnover above £50,000 and from April 2027, turnover above £30,000.

If you have not used an adviser before you should be aware that anyone can call themselves an accountant/tax adviser whether or not they are professionally qualified.

There are some non-qualified advisers who may have the experience to help you but qualified accountants/ tax advisers have completed relevant qualifications and will be regulated by their professional body.

Core hours: Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Having our own busy families and business we understand working ad-hoc hours, evenings and early mornings, we therefore have early, evening or weekend appointments available on request.
